County Hall Durham ‘Yesterday Belongs To You.’ SHAPS Stall at this biennial
event for local and family historians.
Lots to see and buy. Free entry.
June 2nd 2007 Saturday 10.30am.
‘Perambulation of former Southwick U.D.C Boundary.’ A
guided 3 to 4 hour walk. Meeting at Wearmouth Colliery Welfare ground on
Thompson Road. Car parking is provided. Come prepared for walking. (Drink and

at Southwick Community Centre. ‘Sunderland
of Years Ago.’ Amazing photos from the William Waples Collection being shown for
the first time in Southwick. He moved to Sunderland in 1908 and worked for Binns.
This is an event to help SHAPS Committee raise funds to help the repair of the
Wearmouth Colliery War Memorial presently sited at the Wearmouth Colliery
Welfare Ground. Raffle & refreshments available. All donations welcome – tell
your friends.

Hylton Castle. ‘Local Heritage Expo’ Marquee hosting various local heritage
groups, stalls, performances, family activities, entertainment. SHAPS will be

Photographic Census of Southwick" - A public display of photographs taken during
the SHAPS project will be held in the foyer of Sunderland City Library, Fawcett
Street, Sunderland during normal library opening hours.
