In 2004, Southwick History And Preservation Society was most fortunate to be allocated funds by the Local Heritage Initiative* to undertake a project in Southwick. The project was completed in May 2006.

The project comprised several elements and the images on these pages represent photographs taken as part of the project, together with some older photographs of Southwick which, where appropriate, are used to give a "then and now" perspective.

The images are in file name order and you will notice that some file names include a number. Those numbers have been included in an effort to display the photographs in a more logical order when there is more than one image for a particular street or location.

The other elements of the project included conducting Oral Interviews with volunteers, to record their memories of Southwick. The results of the project have been made available to Local, Regional and National archives, together with Local Schools.
